“What is the value of your soul to God? Could your worth be defined by any amount of money? God doesn’t abandon or forget even the small sparrow he has made. How then could he forget or abandon you? What about the seemingly minor issues of your life? Do they matter to God? Of course they do! So you never need to worry, for you are more valuable to God than anything else in this world.”
(Luke 12: 6-7)
There was a little girl standing in the middle of a two-way road. No cars passing by, no one around. Just her and empty space. She stood with feelings of insignificance and loneliness. The constant fear of rejection, not feeling like she belonged and the pain of feeling invisible weighed her little body down. As she continued to think about her life, she was so overwhelmed with sadness that she dropped to her knees and cried. As soon as she fell to the ground, her father sprinted out of nowhere to comfort her. As he was running towards her, he kept saying, “I’m coming, I’m coming.” As he grabbed her face filled with tears, he said, “It’s ok. I am here. You’re not alone my daughter”. He then embraced her.
That little girl is me. I don’t know about you, but do you ever feel like you are invisible? Have you felt like you have been overlooked time and time and time again? Or have you felt insignificant in the midst of a crowd of people or maybe in your friend circle?
Well, I have good news for you……. You are not alone. You are not rejected. You are not abandoned. You are not invisible. You are not _____ . You can fill in the blank.
Don’t believe the enemy's lies because they aren’t true. You are The Father’s unforgettable. The definition of unforgettable means it is impossible to forget something, impress on the memory or to be indelible which means making marks that cannot be erased, removed or washed out.
You are not forgotten. People may forget you, but our Heavenly Father can never forget His beloved daughter. “Can a woman forget her baby who nurses at her breast? Can she withhold compassion from the child she has borne? Even if mothers were to forget, I could never forget you!” (Isaiah 49:15). You
were the reason Jesus went to the cross and completed his assignment. He did that for YOU. You are special and important to The Father, no matter what you are feeling.
People may overlook and reject you, but our Heavenly Father will choose you every time. Your name is imprinted on his heart and hands, He could never forget you. It is absolutely impossible.
[Dear Father, I am so grateful that you see everything I do. Please comfort me in the times when I feel overlooked and invaluable. Remind me that you care about me deeply and there’s nothing I can do that would make You forget me. In times when I feel loneliness weighing me down, please comfort me with your sweet love. Thank you for never changing. In Jesus’ Name. Amen. ]
