"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:24-25

Tabatha Parrott
Writer
My name is Tabatha Parrott and I am the Worship Director at Divine Unity Community Church. I am currently in graduate school and plan to graduate in May of 2023 with an MA in Worship and a concentration in developing leaders. I love worship and desire for everyone to have an authentic and transformative encounter with Christ. I have a passion for seeing people, especially women, accept their identity in Christ and walk in their realized potential in Him. I have the honor and privilege of being the wife of Nate Parrott, Worship and Creative Arts Pastor, as we walk in our purpose of creating a legacy of worshipers, by God’s grace, through leading worship and developing those around us. We have 4 amazing children who contribute greatly to this legacy: Bristoe, 9; Ellie, 7; Eli, 6; and Noel, 4.
Her scripture of the year is 2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
Ashawrie White
Writer
Ashawrie White is a May 2021 graduate of James Madison University with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance. Currently, she is interning in partnership with her local church in Harrisonburg VA, Divine Unity Community Church and with Every Nation. Alongside her internship, she also serves in other ways such as armor bearing for one of the worship leaders or anyone who needs assistance, and through the kids dance team, Joyful Noise, that she started in the fall 2020. Soon, she will be teaching two junior hip-hop classes at InMotion School of Dance & Dancewear.
Ashawrie believes her purpose is to be God’s hands and feet on the earth and reconcile people back to Him. Whether that is through her future desire to be an author, mentoring women, having a faith-based dance studio, encouraging others through social media or by developing meaningful relationships everywhere she goes. Ashawrie wants to see God build up a new generation of confident leaders whose mission is to advance the kingdom of God. She desires to guide women struggling with identity and confidence to walk boldly and freely in their purpose.
Ashawrie enjoys dancing, hanging out with friends, eating her favorite dessert, ice cream, and watching movies and TV shows.
Her scripture of the year is Psalms 46: 10,
“Be still, and know that I am God” and her word of the year is release.
